ITC staff raise funds for ALONE

ALONE is a national organisation that provides services to older people who need additional support to age at home.  They work with those who have difficulties with loneliness, ill health, poverty, poor housing or homelessness.  In the run up to Christmas the demand for these services rapidly increases. With this in mind, the staff of Independent Trustee Company raised vital funds to donate to Alone in support of their work.  A special mention must be given to ITC's Kate Cullinan and Helen Carroll who began this initiative in December.  Well done to Kate, Helen and all the staff in ITC.

ALONE’s studies show that loneliness is a serious health risk and is considered as damaging to an older persons health as smoking or obesity.  As an independent charity, ALONE doesn’t receive any funding from the Government for the day-to-day running of services. They rely solely on the generosity of organizations and people to continue their work.  100% of all donations go directly to providing services to older people in need.
