ITC is a leading provider of self-administered pension structures. This is reflected in the asset mix of our schemes with approximately 1,500 different properties held by individual pension owners with ITC acting as trustee and registered owner. These properties may be acquired with the assistance of debt finance provided certain conditions are satisfied. In certain limited cases where the investment has failed a receiver has been appointed over the underlying property. Because of the nature of the legal structures created by ITC for all pension investments, such receiverships can only affect the asset to which the debt is attached. This means that the pension assets of the individual, the pension assets of any other clients or the assets of ITC itself cannot be affected by the receivership.
