Last week Independent Trustee Limited (ITL) sponsored the Irish ProShare Association’s (IPSA) annual Jack FitzPatrick Lecture for the second time. Jeremy Mitchell, our trustee services director in charge of share schemes, was the first speaker and introduced the guest for the evening, leading Irish economist Jim Power. In conversation with the CEO of the IPSA, Gill Brennan, Jim discussed the economy, Brexit, the impact on SMEs and how employee share participation was an important part of the solution for many companies, particularly for employee retention and succession planning.
